So, Baby B is due to come in 5 days! Wow! Where did the time go?
With Otis I felt like my pregnancy lasted forever, probably because of the anticipation of becoming a mom. This time, it feels like it flew by. Probably because we weren't planning to have another baby right away and I was preoccupied with finding a job, starting a job, working, etc.
But now, I'm really starting to get excited. I have two more days of work and then I'm off for the long weekend and start my mini-maternity leave. I'm hoping that this baby is like Otis and decides to stay safe until shortly after his or her due date. I'm definitely feeling large, hot and uncomfortable. But I can put up with that for a few more days so that I can be organized and ready for this baby. Also, I'd prefer not to be in the hospital giving birth during the Civic Holiday weekend.
Otherwise, pregnancy has been very similar to the first. I feel like I can feel, and see, this baby moving around a lot more in my belly. That might be because of the location of the placenta... or s/he is just more active. I haven't got the pelvic pain that I did with the last pregnancy. I have been having some hip pain, but nothing the occasional massage hasn't helped!
My friend Laura took me out for lunch and a pedicure last Saturday - it was so nice to have some quiet girl's time without the kiddos and catch up. And now my toes are pretty! I went all out and did the trendy neon colour and one accent toe. Why not? It makes me feel fun and summery. Thanks LLL!

We don't have a nursery for this baby, as we need to finish up the basement renos to move the guest room down there. Instead, we've got a bassinet to set up in our room and I've emptied out my vanity to make it a temporary change table. We'll see how that goes.
I still need to pull out some of our cloth diapers from when Otis was small and get them washed and ready to go.
Otherwise, not much more to do to prepare for baby. Just some other things I'd like to get done around the house so it organized. I'm hoping to clean out and reorganize our kitchen cupboards and the cold cellar (which has become our store everything mess!). But I'm going to need some help with that.
Oh, and I guess the big thing we need to do is finalize names. I think we have a good short list of girl's names that we both like now. But, we're really stuck on boys names. We can't find any that we both really like. So, Baby B, if you are a girl - you should be good. If you are a boy, you may go nameless for a few days.
Anyone got some great baby boy name ideas? We are looking for something short (5 letters or less), not particularly common, but not strange enough that you wouldn't know how to spell or pronounce.
