We need ball players

We're looking for co-ed slow pitch players. We play once a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:30 or 8pm, at RIM park. We are a true d level team, having fun swinging the bat, and not letting our many losses get us down.  We have until March 31 to put a team together, that includes at least 4 ladies.

40 weeks

Today is our Baby Brackenridge (affectionately known as "Cletus the Fetus") official due date! I guess we start counting backwards from here. Although I think 02/12/2012 would be a good birth date, it doesn't look like s/he is coming today. Here is what I'm looking like at 40 weeks pregnant (in the baby's room!):

Anyhow, I think I'm still calm and patient and not trying to rush this baby along. I'm relatively comfortable and not feeling like s/he is going to make an appearance within the next day or two. This baby is going to make us wait, build up the anticipation, the excitement. Then again, I've heard a lot of stories from recently pregnant mom's about having no idea and then quickly going into labour and baby coming hours later. Oh for a quick and uneventful labour. Wouldn't that be lovely? 

Ian's birthday is soon.  He's always said he'd be happy to share his birthday with our baby, so maybe that's what it will be! Either way, I don't think they'll let us go more than 2 weeks over due, so this baby is coming relatively soon!

We're feeling pretty ready now. I've taken advantage of the last couple of weeks away from work to do lots of cooking and baking. The freezer is filled with meals (lasagna, casserole, etc.) and healthy muffins. The house is relatively organized, all the baby clothes and blankets are washed and put away and hospital bag is packed. Anything else we need to do to get ready??

Last year was a great year, but I am excited for 2012. It is going to be an exciting year for us Brackenridges.

Baby Brackenridge is due to arrive in February 2012 and we are getting ready for him or her!

I'm still collecting donations for kids with cancer.

I'm collecting donations for kids with cancer.

Hello Folks,

I will be participating in The Inside Ride, a fun, high energy, indoor
cycling fundraising event that raises much needed funding to make a
meaningful difference in the lives of kids and teens living with
cancer.

The purpose of this email is to ask you to consider supporting my
fundraising efforts to help children and teens affected by cancer.
Seventeen hundred children each year in Canada are diagnosed with this
devastating disease, to join the more than 10,000 currently living
with this illness and its long term effects. Although great
improvements have been made, cancer is still the leading cause of
non-accidental death of kids in Canada.

Through the The Inside Ride event, we will provide support where the
needs are greatest, including funding of kids cancer camps, family
support programs and research which contribute to inspiring hope and
improving the prognosis for children and their families impacted by

Open-House-Warming (by invitiation only)

Doesn't this house look like it needs some warming?

We want to share in the fun our new home has brought us! Please come for a visit.

The "Housewelcoming" party is on Saturday February, 5th. Stop by anytime after 2PM. Come for the afternoon, party late into the night, or just drop by. Either way, we'd love to see you and welcome you to our home!

Please don't drink and drive - we have room for out-of-town guests to stay the night. And for the locals, we'll have Waterloo Taxi on standby.
